Paul Sloan: Paul Sloan was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1973 his family emigrated to South Australia. After working as a photographer's assistant and a musician, Sloan studied Fine Arts at RMIT, Melbourne. In 1998 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons). Paul Sloan has completed artist in residencies in Shanghai, Alice Springs and Galway. He has curated group shows in Adelaide (FELT Artspace) and Melbourne (200 Gertrude St). He has also been a finalist in the following prizes: Robert Jacks Drawing Prize, Bendigo Art Gallery 2006. Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, South Australian Museum 2004, 2007, 2008. Fleurieu Biennale, Fleurieu Art Prize, 2008. Paul Sloan exhibits work nationally (Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney) and internationally (London, Prague, Dublin, Shanghai). He is represented by Hugo Michel Gallery, Adelaide.
